I’ve taken to going to a massage therapist near my office every 3-4 weeks as “maintenance”
, to help keep me stretched out and prevent any tightness from getting out of control (I’ve had muscle spasms a few times in my lower back, and I’d like to never experience that again
). It’s definitely helped.

In 2018 I played catch with my boys and didn’t warm up first . I was in physical therapy for 3 months for my shoulder. That was on my 41st birthday. Getting old sucks. Your mind says you can do something but your body couldn’t disagree more.

Both figuratively, and in my case, literally.

I slept weird (ie : drunk) one night about a week and a half ago, and it still hurts my neck when I turn my head to the right. And I’m only 33!!

The day after my last birthday I blew out my knee. The old comes at you fast.

No pushups, no problems.

When drunk your head/body don’t always react when placed in an inconfortable position and at the same time it won’t wake you up so you can spend some time in a pain inducing position and only realise it after waking up.
There is also pancreatic and kidney pains that translate to back pain (especially pancreatic that additionally make you bend to avoid pain, inducing back pain).
It’s not really about the age.
